The Northeastern Detachment #304 and Museum are located at 1340 Alder Street, Scranton PA, 18501. The Museum is home to more than 1500 artifacts, multiple dioramas and various displays depicting the Marine Corps engagements in our Country`s battles from the Revolutionary War to present time. The proud history and traditions of the United States Marine Corps are felt as you enter the Museum to the sound of the Marine Corps Hymn. Organized, built and maintained by the Northeastern Detachment, the Museum is totally dependent on membership support and donations. The Northeastern Detachment and Museum are both housed in a historic stone structure overlooking the City of Scranton which was built as a WPA project in 1936. Entrance to the Museum is gained through the "Leatherneck Lounge" which consists of a full bar, amusement devices and a comfortable seating area for meetings and social gatherings.
